My submission for the Newbie Artist Training Grounds II on Equestria Daily.
The prompt for day 7 was a pony facing conflict or a pony locked in "grizzly" combat. I decided to do this particular scenario because of the unconfirmed information that supposedly came from Lauren Faust herself saying that Scootaloo is physically disabled and will never be able to fly. I personally like that idea, because it gives Scootaloo more depth and complexity, especially when combined with the episode Ms. Faust supposedly envisioned in which Scootaloo accepts her limitations and discovers that she does not need to fly to be happy. This resonates with me because of my own, largely past, physical limitations regarding walking and running. Thank Celestia for corrective surgery.

I remember after hearing that, I was contemplating some scenario or other wherein somepony breaks it to Scootaloo that she will. NEVER. Fly. I was getting pretty emotional just thinking about it. Her dream is basically to BE Rainbow Dash. Something like this would crush her dreams. I was actually starting to tear up, I think.
Then I read someone's comment along the lines of, "chikins doent fly lololol". I... couldn't help it. I chuckled.
But yes, I think that would make a great episode. If the CMC ever earn their cutie marks in the show, then that might be a good Scoots episode, where she finally learns to stop trying to be somepony else and follow her own dreams.
